Who We Are
Aberdeenshire Alcohol and Drugs Partnership (AADP) brings together local services, communities, and people with lived experience to reduce alcohol and drug harm across Aberdeenshire.
We are a multi-agency partnership spanning health, social care, justice, third sector organisations, communities, and individuals working collectively to improve outcomes and save lives.
Everything we do is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and evidence. We believe recovery is possible, people deserve dignity and respect, and solutions work best when they are shaped by those who live and work in our communities.
What We Do
AADP provides leadership, direction, and coordination to prevent harm, support recovery, and improve lives across Aberdeenshire.
We do this by:
- Co-ordinating local services and partners to ensure joined-up, effective support
- Reducing alcohol and drug-related harm, including action to prevent drug-related deaths
- Supporting prevention and early intervention
- Championing recovery, to support people feeling connected to their communities
- Embedding lived experience, ensuring real voices influence decisions and service design
- Using evidence and data to guide priorities and improve outcomes
Our Strategic Focus
AADP is currently developing its new local strategy and Strategic Delivery Plan, which will set out our priorities and actions for the coming years. This new strategy will align with the upcoming national alcohol and drug strategy and partnership delivery frameworks, ensuring our local approach reflects national direction while responding to the specific needs of Aberdeenshire’s communities.
Our focus is on turning strategy into meaningful action, delivering practical, people-centred change that makes a real difference on the ground.
