What the Corra funding is

Corra Foundation administers Scottish Government funding to support alcohol and drug-related work across Scotland. This funding is intended to support the implementation of the Scottish Government’s and COSLA’s Alcohol and Drugs Strategic Plan-Preventing Harm, Promoting Recovery: Scotland’s Alcohol & Drugs Strategic Plan 2026 – 2035.

Funding Strands and Who the funding is aimed at

  • Local Support Micro Grants : For grassroots and community-based groups in Scotland, which deliver frontline services to support people affected by alcohol and drugs, people in recovery and/or their families.  Open to Scottish charities, social enterprises or constituted community/voluntary groups that operate on a not-for-profit basis, with an annual income of up to £75,000. Organisations can apply for between £1,000 and £15,000 per year to fund work up to April 2029. This fund is intended to help organisations to stabilise or increase capacity, continue services and provide further reach into the community. It aims to facilitate rights-based, relational support for people so that they can easily access the right support at the right time. Alcohol and Drugs Fund – Local Support Micro Grants 
  • Local Support Grants are open to Scottish charities, social enterprises, community groups and other Third Sector organisations who deliver frontline services to support people affected by alcohol and drugs. For groups/organisations with an annual income of up to £750,000. Organisations can apply for up to £60,000 per year, for work up to April 2029.This fund is intended to help organisations to stabilise or increase capacity, continue services and provide further reach into the community. It aims to facilitate rights-based, relational support for people so that they can easily access the right support at the right time. Alcohol and Drugs Fund – Local Support Grants 
  • Children, Young People and Families Grants 
  • Partnership and Delivery Grants 

For the larger funds more information will be available on Corra’s website later today. Each of these funds will have 120k per year available up to April 2029, applications will require a letter of support from the relevant ADP Chair. Only one application per larger fund theme will be accepted from each ADP area. Corra will share details of local grant applications relating to Aberdeenshire in advance of the panel review, allowing the ADP an opportunity to comment on alignment with local delivery plans, delivery to date (where applicable), and any known concerns.
